As a Nurse Practitioner, you'll have to work closely with other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving skills, and communication ability are important.*Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** Prescribe appropriate medications .* Order, review, and/or follow-up with treatments and diagnostic testing.* Communicate with the nursing home staff on a regular and as needed to discuss changes in condition. and/or the care plan.* Collaborate with primary care physician.* Provider will assess and monitor residents on a regular basis.* Provider will be available to assist staff in assessing wound and pressure ulcer risks.* Provider will evaluate multiple factors related to wounds: i.e.* Nutrition, Mobility, Incontinence associated dermatitis, Pressure ulcers, Diabetic ulcers, Arterial ulcers, Venous ulcers, and Common dermatologic conditions*MANAGEMENT** Measures to decrease the risk of wounds with recommendations to staff.* Measures to optimize healing via protocols* Superficial wound debridement* Dressing selection and management* Placement of negative pressure wound dressings* Post myocutaneous flap surgery care*#NP1*Job Type: Full-timePay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time offMedical specialties:* GeriatricsStandard shift:* Day shiftWeekly schedule:* Monday to FridayWork setting:* Acute care* Clinic* Inpatient* In-personExperience:* Geriatrics: 1 year (Preferred)* Wound Care NP: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:* Certified Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)Work Location: In person
