Job Description:

Responsible for the general accounting function, payment and reporting of various taxes and wide-range support of Company operations. Reports to the Controller. Responsibilities include:Accounting:* Accounts Payableo Processing of invoiceso Maintain Concur Invoice systemo Scan invoices not sent by vendorso Download and send utility invoices when availableo Reconciliation of all statements from vendorso Prepare and process accounts payable payments (check//EFT/credit service)o Record payments issuedo File all related documents* Process subcontractor payments* Produce and distribute annual 1099-MISC statements* Calculate quarterly stipend payments per salaried employee* Maintain approved buyers listing for specific vendors* Accounts receivable administration including generation of miscellaneous billings, posting of payments, follow-up and reporting* Pay estimate processing (review job bill and SL worksheet)* Fixed asset accounting including monthly depreciation posting and tracking of additions and disposals* Maintain equipment records* Comdata fuel card import* Quarterly cost allocation of * Quarterly inventory adjustments* Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable periodic aging review and necessary follow-upTax: * Use tax review, compilation, payment and reporting* Kansas sales tax review, compilation, payment and reporting* Property tax administration including return completion and filing, accruals and true-ups, tracking and coding of payments* 1099-INT and 1099-B preparation, printing and distributionOther:* Association and production reports* Equipment Annual Inspection log* Send monthly Visa statements/email reminders* Maintain Company credit cardholder file* Maintain Dun & Bradstreet account (dispute payments, add trade references, etc.)* Create and maintain user documentation of work processes and responsibilities* Provide miscellaneous administrative support as neededMinimum Required Education and/or Experience:* Bachelor's degree in accounting* CPA certification preferred* 3+ years' experience working in accounting, preferably construction industry* Experience with Vista by Viewpoint or Spectrum software* Proficient in Microsoft Office programsQualifications and Skills: * Excellent organization and time-management skills* Flexibility to adapt to changing situations calmly and efficiently* Prioritizing assignments and ability to meet deadlines* Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills* Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach* Ability to maintain confidentiality* Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities, both on a one-on-one and a group basis* Proven knowledge of standard office procedures and practices* Capability to maintain a filing system
