Job Description Job Description Bemana is seeking a Service Technician in the Saint Joseph, MO area to travel to industrial production sites installing, troubleshooting, and commissioning bespoke battery manufacturing equipment. This role is perfect for a disciplined, self-motivated technician who enjoys a mix of mechanical assembly and electrical troubleshooting. You will join a world-class team that prides itself on team collaboration. Position offers: Salary up to $90K depending on experience with opportunity for overtime. Job Duties: Lead the setup and final commissioning of battery making machines at customer factories. Perform on-site electronic and mechanical repair of complex production machinery, including pneumatics (SMC), hydraulics, and electrical systems ( Educate customer operators and maintenance personnel on equipment use, safety logic, and basic troubleshooting. Use PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and Siemens) to diagnose machine faults and ensure smooth production cycles. Write concise, informative reports and daily updates regarding project progress and equipment performance. Qualifications: Proven track record in industrial maintenance or field service within a high-volume production environment. Strong "multi-craft" skills split between mechanical assembly and electrical troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, assembly drawings, and fluid power schematics (pneumatic/hydraulic). Proficient in using micrometers, Vernier calipers, and other precision tools with a strong attention to detail (metric system knowledge is a plus). Ability to troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery (programming/coding is not required) Excellent customer service skills and a self starter. Must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a tight-knit team. Must possess a valid, up-to-date passport and be willing to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
