Remote - TX, IL, KS, AK, IO NE, SD, ND, MN, MO, OK or WI - Travel
up to 75% as needed. Must be close to major airport.How will you
make an impact?
The Business Development Manager is responsible for the promotion
of, and achieving sales goals associated with the AcroMetrix
Molecular Quality Controls portfolio within a defined territory.
This role requires focus on the delivery of customer support and
satisfaction and manages the assigned territory/customers as a
business with responsibility for profit and revenue growth. What
will you do?
? Achieve annual sales target by selling products to assigned
customers within territory.
? Develop positive Account and dealer relationships by being
responsive and proactive.
? Develop technical expertise on products and offerings to
effectively sell into scientific space.
? Prepares expense reports, call reports, monthly reports and
forecasts as requested.
? Monitor and analyze sales data to improve sales efficiency.
? Provide competitive information to assist in the bid process and
? Attends trade shows and represents company as requested by the
Regional Sales Manager.
? Utilize SalesForce.com to manage territory and opportunity funnel
to drive business
? Manage the sales strategy through; the establishment of a
pipeline of opportunities, completing basic research on competitive
activity relative to assigned territory, maintaining accurate daily
reporting and records, and demonstrating responsiveness to change,
willingness to take direction, and initiative to develop selling
? Identify and qualify opportunities by; performing regular sales
calls with current customers and seeking business development
opportunities through cold calling and referrals
? Create innovative solutions by; leveraging training and
self-directed learning opportunities to gain knowledge of products
and service offerings and understanding competitive positions and
tactics within accounts
? Closes the business by establishing effective customer
relationships, understanding how to address pricing, leveraging
internal resources/support, and completing quotes in a timely
mannerHow will you get here?
? Bachelor?s degree with emphasis in the sciences ? required.
? 2+ years successful role in field sales, preferable in diagnostic
markets ? required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
? Must have understanding of our markets and be knowledgeable of
diverse laboratory workflow applications
? Must have understanding and comprehension of Molecular testing
? SalesForce.com experiences a plus.
? Must possess a valid Driver's License
? Proficiency in PC software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and
? Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate resources and work
with cross-functional teams.
? Ability to plan and execute activities with minimal direct
? Must provide detailed and timely reporting.
