Job Description Title: General Manager / Property Manager for Classic Americana Motor Lodge Property Information: Simmer Motel in the Wamego River Valley, Kansas Simmer Motel is a classic Americana motor lodge in the Kansas River Valley. Amenities at the property include an outdoor pool, a newly built playground for children, and several acres of landscaped grounds. GENERAL MANAGER The General Manager / Property Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operation, including the overall guest experience, front office, housekeeping, and maintenance. This role requires strong leadership and a genuine desire to meet the demands of a design-lead hotel environment. If you are interested in playing a critical role at a fast-growing hospitality company, this role is for you Responsibilities - Maintain high guest satisfaction scores, ensuring any guest concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner - Greet phone and on-property clients in a friendly, service forward manner - Oversee property expenditure, controlling labor and OS&E - Recruit, hire, and train personnel in compliance with staffing needs - Execute payroll and scheduling - Manage property team and vendor relationships to ensure the guest experience is seamless, welcoming, and comfortable - Provide leadership to housekeeping & maintenance teams, facilitating highest standards of cleanliness and facility condition - Ensure company SOPs are properly followed and executed - Develop property specific policies and procedures on an as needed basis - Build and maintain positive rapport with the local community - Establish and maintain a positive workplace culture - Communicate with Central Support, Housekeeping, and Maintenance Departments to ensure prompt responses to guest needs - Ensure implemented Life House proprietary software is efficiently and effectively used across all departmental teams - Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business Desired Qualifications - 3 years of hotel management experience highly preferred - Flexible in schedule and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation - Proficient in HR functions, including payroll, hiring, training, etc. - Self-motivated, well-organized, ability to motivate others - Results driven leader with ability to make the right executive decisions without need for escalation - Ability to manage time effectively to ensure completion of tasks - Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen effectively - Ability to make executive decisions without need for escalation - Ability to lead varying size groups - Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Ideal Candidate - Strong hotel operations knowledge, including personnel and labor relations, building maintenance, and budget forecasting - Experience with G-Suite and its various applications (docs, sheets, calendar, etc.) - Familiarity with Gusto, Homebase, Slack and Asana (preferred) - Familiarity with Apple products and applications (preferred) Physical Requirements While performing the required duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
