seeking a Mid-Senior Level HR Manager to join our team. Relocation

should have experience working with a bilingual workforce. You will
be responsible for the administration and performance of the Human
Resources operations. This includes but not limited to performance
management, FMLA, WC, training and development, legal compliance,

for this position is to provide oversight of policies and
procedures, systems, documents, reporting, and responses pertaining
to human resources issues. This role is critical in the overall
management and implementation of employee matters including but not
limited to hiring, retention, and termination as well as policy
review. As such, this position would have reporting
responsibilities to the Corporate HR Director.Required Duties &
Responsibilities:
- Supervisory Responsibilities-Leader of Human Resources staff
members.
- Set an example for HR staff and others by leadership, mentoring
and support of the organization
- Working closely with your department managers, you will
recruit, interview, and hire qualified job applicants for all
Company positions, including managerial, professional, and
non-exempt roles
- Oversee new employee integration and new hire orientation
activities
- You will assist the Moore corporate trainer in creating
learning and development programs and initiatives that provide
internal growth opportunities for employees
- You will be responsible for investigating employee complaints,
following best business practices and in accordance with company
policies
- Using your knowledge of employment laws, you will keep
Southwest Publishing compliant with federal, state, and local
employment laws and regulations, following recommended best
practices
- Maintain employee records & respond to employment
verifications
- Approve background checks and return to work documentation
- Provide guidance in employee disciplinary and retention
efforts.
- Facilitate Workers Compensation claims and FMLA leave, with
proper reporting, follow-up, and corrective action
- Process employee status changes and pay increases, assisting as
needed
- Investigate employee issues, recommend appropriate action, and
counsel/train where necessary
- Gather audit and regulatory reporting data, respond to related
inquiries
- Extended work hours required from time-to-time, especially
during special projects
- Special Projects-As assigned by senior management, projects may
at times fall outside the scope of normal human resources
responsibilities.
- Perform other related duties as required and assignedDesired
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong FMLA experience is a MUST
- Assertive and effective communication skills
- Able to lead project teams and direct/oversee the activities of
team members
- Ability to use interpersonal and conflict resolution
skills
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Ability to know when to delegate tasks
- Advanced or Proficient Microsoft Office skills
- Strong organizational skills with impeccable attention to
detail
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Bilingual ability will be of great benefit to the organization,
but not required
- Experienced in managing concurrent projects and deadlines in a
fast-paced environmentEducation & Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business
administration, or a similar field and at least five years' Human
Resources manager-level experience
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR certification or equivalent work
experience
- Experience with HRIS systems - UKG (previously Kronos)
preferredMust be authorized to work in the United States (we are a
E-Verify company) and successfully pass a comprehensive criminal
