history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a
Manager, Team Leader 2 to join our growing team of diverse
professionals at Fort Riley in Kansas. The selected candidate will
serves as the Fort Riley Mission Training Complex (MTC) Site Lead,
and will be provide leadership to a customer-focused team committed
to increased quality and productivity for all individual and
collective training supported by the Fort Riley
MTC.Responsibilities:
- In accordance with organization goals, provides direction on
activities and behaviors
- Motivates team members and facilitates team meetings
- Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms, and
behaviors
- Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and
solutions
- Provides guidance to team on development, performance, and
productivity issues
- Monitors team budget and ensures proper use of assets
- Represents the team, presenting team suggestions and
recommendations on processes and procedures in accordance with
organization cost, quality, and productivity goals
- Requires experience in group processes and dynamics
- Reports to functional and/or organization management on team
accomplishments, achievements, and productivity
- Provides oversight to include scheduling, resource procurement,
and quality assurance of all individual training, collective
training, simulations, and exercises conducted at the Fort Riley
MTC
- Manages daily MTC operations to ensure all taskings and
requirements are met
- Assists in future planning and strategic decisions to continue
growth within the organization
- Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms, and
behaviors
- Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and
solutions
- Provides guidance to team on development, performance, and
productivity issues
- Represents the team to local customers, presenting team
suggestions and recommendations on processes and procedures to
better support uniformed customers
- Reports to the Program Manager for the III Corps MTC Hub and
Spoke organizationBasic Qualifications:
- One of the following:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of professional
and/or military leadership experience
- Master's degree with a minimum of 8 years of professional
and/or military leadership experience
- Extensive experience with Military training and training
support, including experience in operations and training
requirements at Division (DIV) or higher level
- Background in training management
- Possess an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret
security clearance
- Must have served as either a Battalion or higher Commander
Group or Operations Officer
- Command and General Staff College (CGSC) / MEL4 or Sergeants
Major Academy (SGM-A)
- Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)
- Must have the ability to work on-site at Fort Riley in
KansasPreferred Qualifications:
- Former Battalion Commander
- Possess a current DoD Top Secret (TS) security clearance Salary
Range: $88,200 USD - $132,400 USD Employees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
