The Senior Manager, Best Practice Value Stream is responsible for creating direction for standardization efforts and continuously supporting all regional laboratories throughout Quest Diagnostics with an immediate focus on facilitating and communicating processes for operational procedures. This position will act as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues and concerns within the enterprise. This position is responsible for determining best practice for following protocols to support service excellence lines across the enterprise, lead process consolidation efforts, and monitor all regulatory requests while representing the Compliance Department for NCS. This position will deal with confidential compliance issues and interface with senior level executives, both internally and externally, in resolution of compliance concerns. This position will support the QCR team manager in maintaining the SOP repository and support internal mock audits to assess the integrity of processes and procedures, while supporting standardization efforts for all NCS operations and the Hospital health segment with regional collaboration.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead NCS Best Practices and Standardization program and governance process
  • Support and serve as NCS liaison for the organizational Best Practice teams (i.e., Lab operations & Solutions).
  • Develop best practices and standardized processes for NCS to be performed for all 6 regions and communicate and lead change initiatives within the NCS
  • Seek and evaluate feedback on what is not working and what needs improvisation and innovation
  • Identify and implement change for upstream teams (lab ops, logistics, etc.) partners (i.e., regional solutions), and digital areas that will drive superior customer service. Develop best practices and standards for these changes and lead implementation
  • Support QCR QA manager with NCS SOP repository and ensure it is maintained to current protocols
  • Understand Service Excellence lines and streamline supplies, billing, and connectivity processes by utilizing innovative measures of COE and consolidation where applicable
  • Responsible for documentation of all Procurement policies and processes, and maintenance of records and other evidence of compliance
  • Perform and lead all compliance related documentation reviews related to audits
  • Lead efforts of Standardization/Harmonization of National Processes throughout the Regions
  • Drive improvement recommendations and counsel C-level executives in NCS
  • Develop, while working with NCS Learning and Development teams, internal training programs for NCS agents, sups, group leads and senior tech reps
  • Ensure continual evaluation of changes to industry policy, regulations, and laws and their effect on NCS operations
  • Manage data and exhibit tool knowledge for supplies, billing, connectivity, and processes for add test, custom panels, release results, etc., and harmonize those by involving support from QMS and regional customer solutions teamQualifications:Required Work Experience:
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in medical device, clinical lab, or pharmaceutical industries, in position of responsibility for internal audits, compliance, and government contract requirements
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in a management representative position performing significant auditsPreferred Work Experience:
      • Knowledge of the diagnostic testing industry or medical device industry sector, knowledge of Quest, or similar knowledge requiredPhysical and Mental Requirements:
        • Sitting for long periods of time, standing, presenting frequently both virtual and in personKnowledge:
          • Ability to work a flexible schedule, and adjust to meet the needs of the business, including various audit timetables and reporting deadlines
          • Ability to form strong relationships across the company with internal partners and internal customers, as well as external stakeholders
          • Works independently and interfaces with Senior Executives, both internal and externally
          • Strong written and verbal communication skills
          • Expert level knowledge of internal controls and auditing in a publicly held corporation; with an emphasis on knowledge around Optum billing, supplies protocol, and basic regional processes for conducting tests
          • Expert level knowledge of policy and procedure writing along with document control practices
          • Data reporting, data management, and reporting skills to meet governmental, contractual, and customer requirements
          • Strong analytical, prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
          • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting
          • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
          • Makes autonomous decisions in assessingand managing compliance riskSkills: Deep Lab domain, process and change management, ability to influence others, Audit, Quality Management, Reporting Research Results, Analyzing Information, Statistical Analysis, Ad Hoc Reporting, Objectivity, General Consulting Skills, Operations Research. Government and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) or Defense and Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR). Experience in supply chain management and sourcing are desiredPeople Leader Responsibility:
