Schedule:Full time - 36 hours/week or greaterShift:First Shift (Days - Less than 12 hours per shift) (United States of America)Weekly Work Schedule:8a - 5p ; Mon - FriJob InformationExemption Status: ExemptA Brief OverviewThe Vice President Primary Care Services is responsible for providing Leadership and support for the MSD Primary Care physicians (Internists, IM/Peds, Family Medicine, and Peds) and mid-level practitioners that are clinically supervised by Primary Care physicians. This position serves as Chairman of MSD Primary Care and provides input and oversight of compensation philosophy for Primary Care physicians.Education Qualifications

  • Master's Degree Masters of Business or other degree required or obtained within 2 years. Required
  • Doctorate Either a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). RequiredExperience Qualifications

        • Serves as a member of the Operating Committee to support, execute and carry out decisions and policies of the Operating Committee.
        • Develops a scorecard methodology using generally accepted data and benchmarks for Primary Care physicians to include, but not limited to, goals for production, quality, and patient satisfaction.
        • Meets individually with Primary Care physicians on a regularly scheduled basis with the purpose of helping them achieve their professional goals.
        • In partnership with the Vice President & Chief Medical Quality Officer incumbent works to advance the quality and safety initiatives throughout the Stormont Vail Health system. Also works in partnership as the Clinic champion for implementation of evidence-based medicine and standardization of medical practices.
        • Serves as the physician lead for Patient Centered Medical Home and other continuum of care initiatives in partnership with the Vice President & Clinic Operations Officer and Vice President Population Health Management.
        • Works in partnership with the Senior Vice President & Chief Medical Officer to explore and develop clinical initiatives and executes strategy related to standardization and continuity of care.
        • Assists in the recruitment of Primary Care physicians and developing a mentoring and evaluation process for new Primary Care physicians.
        • Establishes personal and professional credibility through strong, leadership, communication, operational and human relation skills.
        • Meets with vendors and consultants as required.
        • Establishes and maintains a high level of community visibility and involvement.
        • Maintains membership in a professional organization (i.e. ACPE, ACP ) and maintains a working knowledge of applicable medical practice trends (i.e. ACOs) regulations, TJC, and other regulatory and insurer (i.e. CMS) requirements.
        • Actively participates in the development and execution of the system's strategic plan.
        • Demonstrates the ability to motivate physician's behaviors and manage their concerns.
        • Effectively seeks input and effectively communicates changes to the medical staff in regard to organization initiatives, policy changes, and regulatory requirements.
