Analog Devices' Multi Markets Power (MMP) business unit is seeking a Strategic Marketing Lead/Manager to grow the sales and promotion of our power product portfolio.
Analog Devices' MMP business unit portfolio consists of the industry's highest performance power supply devices spanning multiple functions, architectures and all end markets. The MMP business development team drives the growth of revenue and market share for this portfolio, and seeks a technical marketing leader to drive our marketing strategy. The role of Strategic Marketing Lead/Manager requires a dynamic individual, possessing a technical knowledge of power products and applications, knowledge of and creative aptitude for content marketing, and the ability to motivate people while driving projects to completion. This results-oriented individual must be capable of productively interacting with people across the entire Analog Devices organization, including product line managers, marketing, sales and executives. In addition, a knowledge of channel distribution is optimal. A bachelor's degree in EE, business or marketing, along with sufficient industry experience (7 years +) are required.
Strategic Marketing develops marketing programs for new products, existing products and reference designs, targeting all customers. Marketing of new and existing products involves creating promotional campaigns to span an array of objectives from building thought leadership to positioning multiple products for a solution sell. Campaign development then requires creating, aggregating and updating technical content, and running subsequent promotion programs. A candidate must have a solid technical background and a proven track record of creativity. In addition, each marketing program must have consistent metrics and be measured. Knowledge of marketing analytics is required. A successful candidate must be capable of working on multiple projects and with multiple groups, including our internal business unit, related business units, our global field sales team and our franchise and e-commerce distributors.
Key Responsibilities Include

  • Developing a clear branding and marketing strategy
  • Creation and management of a marketing calendar
  • Autonomously manage creation of content across MMP
  • Work with corporate marketing to generate monthly/quarterly promotion plans
  • Partner with Channel Marketing to roll out similar and unique promotions to franchise and e-commerce distribution partners
  • Simultaneously manage multiple marketing promotions ensuring on time delivery of content and collateral
  • Consistently create new, unique technical content for various product lines including but not limited to:
  • Whitepapers
  • Webinars
  • Videos
  • Application notes
  • Selector guides
  • Understand our competitors' market positions, technical benefits and weak points
  • Work with other business units to create combined promotions targeting specific end markets and applications
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of marketing techniques and best practices
  • Regularly generate and execute new promotion ideas
  • Connect with regional marketing to ensure global promotions and tradeshow presence
  • Understand analytic feedback on past promotions and adjust current programs accordingly
  • Contribute to growth of MMP revenue and market share
    Requirements
    The ideal candidate will have previous business management and/or technical marketing experience in analog semiconductors. The position may require domestic or global travel on a semi-regular basis (up to 10% of the time). BSEE or higher degree with at least 7+ years of industry related experience required. Analog Devices' success is driven by key individuals who have entrepreneurial spirits combined with the technical competence, vision, and initiative required to build new businesses. The insights, recommendations, and decisions you make will have a significant impact on our growth and success. This is an individual contributor role, however highly qualified candidates will be given immediate management opportunities. Candidates must be highly self-motivated and willing to work in San Jose, California.
    • 7+ years of experience in marketing, sales and/or business management
    • Strong knowledge of marketing analytics
    • A portfolio of authored content
    • Must have excellent and effective oral and written English communication skills to speak with both technical and non-technical personnel
    • Must be detail-oriented and able to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
    • Problem solving abilities and the ability to meet reasonable deadlines
    • Strong team player with the ability to build positive and collaborative relationships within the organization
    • Willingness to develop professionally
    • Familiar with a variety of the analog semiconductor sales concepts, practices, and procedures
