Department: Revenue Job Status: Full-TimeFLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: Chief Financial OfficerPositions Supervised: Accts Receivable Amount of Travel Required: MinimalWork Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00Position SummaryThe Revenue Cycle Manager is an administrative team manager position with primary responsibility for the following areas; Medicaid and other third party billing, managed care contract monitoring, private contractor billing, and client statements.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSupervise and train new Accounts Receivable staff on agency procedures and software.Maintain appropriate staffing pattern to carry out the functions of the accounts receivable (or billing) team.Manage and assign workloads as necessary.Provide direction and oversight for billing third party insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, contracts, etc.Maintain appropriate staffing levels in Accounts Receivable department with support from the Chief Financial Officer and Human Resources Director.Keep management and clinical staff informed of billing requirements and problems so that internal processes can be adapted to meet such requirements or problems.Initiate regular communication with the reception and intake and special operations supervisors to ensure proper procedural flow is occurring between billing and other administrative areas.Ensure the agency is following all State and Federal billing compliance guidelines.Respect and demonstrate the ability to maintain client confidentiality.Actively pursue reimbursement ability of the agency.When necessary, negotiate payment arrangements with clients.Monitor outstanding receivables and keep within agency guidelines.Attend necessary meetings of Medicaid task forces, third party payers, etc.Participate in required agency meetings, including, but not limited to Middle-Management, Finance Staff, Contracts, and Supervisors (LITE).Education/Licensure:High school degree required. College graduate or equivalent work experience preferred.Experience:Three years of third party billing experience (Medicaid, private insurance, Medicare, etc) preferred.Must have experience using personal computers, specifically spread sheets, databases, etc.Supervisory experience preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Excellent organization and decision making skills in order to be able to work independently with minimal supervision.Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with various levels of professionals, both internally and externally.Excellent math skills.Ability to prioritize multiple requests for information or completion.
