You will act as a role model and educator of the Johnsonville Way thus facilitating this as

within the Holton facility.Responsibilities:Using the Johnsonville Way, work with members to drive strategic continuous improvement efforts related to food safety and quality risks or incidences in the animal harvest and fresh sausage processesSet metrics of success and identify trends and process variation in conjunction with the animal harvest/fresh sausage teamBe a resource to all Johnsonville plants for corrective actions to optimize the safety and quality of productsKeep the facility updated and in compliance with regulatory policies in the areas of animal harvest, animal welfare, and fresh meat productionBe an active member of the foreign animal disease teamDirectly coach and grow four Food Safety and Quality team membersBe responsible for the performance of a 3rd party sanitation contractor through your direct teamProvide support for all third-party auditsUse your technical expertise to educate members on food safety and quality applications and systemsParticipate and/or lead network wide improvement teamsDevelop future leaders as a pipeline for future food safety and quality roles and/or operational leadership positionsUtilize your auditing skills to assist on supplier, copacker and internal audits, minimizing riskLead capital pipeline planning and budget setting efforts for the food safety and quality of the facilityExperience:Bachelor s Degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Microbiology or related field5 years of experience in a quality leadership role requiredExperience in food required; meat/poultry processing and harvest preferredQualifications:Proficient at influential leadership and the ability to grow direct and indirect members requiredKnowledge and understanding of food safety, HACCP systems, USDA/FDA, Animal Handling and Welfare programs and regulatory requirements and have established regulatory relationshipsProficiency in Microsoft Suite requiredUnderstanding of Safe Quality Food program preferredExperience with fresh product shelf life and microbiologyKnowledge of continuous improvement processes (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc.)Experience working in SAP Business Operating System desiredProficient with data management and Statistical Process ControlStrong analytical and problem-solving skills Project management and team leadership skillsCoach for this position: Plant Coordinator(We don t have bosses at Johnsonville. We have Coaches. They are there to help you develop your talents. They cannot make you run laps.)Location: Holton, KS(Our facility is about a half hour north of Topeka, KS)Member Status: Fulltime, Salaried(At Johnsonville, you are not an employee.
