Capitol Federal is seeking a Director of Payments. The Director of Payments conducts and supervises broad activities involved in research, development, implementation, promotion and handling of electronic delivery of payments. The Directors of Payments will provide strategic support for Visa - debit, credit and prepaid products, ACH and wires as well as providing oversight of Reg E related claims and deposit account collections. The Director is also responsible for compliance with Bank policies and applicable federal/state laws and regulations. This role requires action orientation, critical thinking, and strong communication skills. The Director of Payments oversees payment operations located at our Home Office in Topeka, Kansas.

Qualifications

• A college degree
• Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) preferred. If not held at time of hire, must attain within two test cycles.
• Computer skills, especially the ability to use database, advanced spreadsheet functions, and Microsoft Word.
• Interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinker, analytical, detailed and focused on results with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Problem Solver: Assist with banking solutions to resolve issues customers face by developing product solutions to meet customer needs.

  • Leadership: Guide the organization to adapt and respond to the dynamic banking environment and are able to plan, supervise, monitor, and evaluate the work of others.
  • Project Management: Implementation of new products and services
  • Employee is responsible for understanding and following the applicable laws and regulations for their job responsibilities including but not limited to the Visa - and NACHA Operating Rules, NACHA Operating Guidelines, Electronic Funds Transfer Act, Regulation J, Fair Debt Collection regulations and Articles 3. 4 and 4A of the Uniform Commercial Code, Bank Secrecy Act and the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Controls.
