The Greenhouse Manager oversees all greenhouse operations, focusing on plant health, inventory management, and budget performance. This role ensures operational efficiency, maintains quality plant care, and drives sales growth while fostering a collaborative, accountable team environment. The manager works closely with cross-functional teams to improve customer engagement and optimize inventory, contributing to profitability and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Leadership: Lead, manage, and hold accountable the site team to ensure the successful execution of operational plans and goals. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes open communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Budget/P&L: Accountable for the department's Profit & Loss (P&L) performance by managing the budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective operations. Greenhouse Management: Oversee all facets of greenhouse operations, including monitoring plant health, facility maintenance, and key performance metrics. Inventory Management: Manage inventory by tracking stock levels, forecast needs, and optimize product availability to minimize waste. Safe Workplace: Promote and maintain a safe work environment and ensure staff training on safety protocols. Essential Job Duties: Hold regular team meetings to discuss performance, goals, and challenges Analyze market trends to inform inventory decisions and boost sales Procure products based on demand and market analysis Monitor sales metrics and ensure targets are met Conduct regular budget analysis to uncover cost-saving opportunities Implement effective product placement strategies and signage Collaborate with Marketing to enhance promotional efforts and campaigns Maintain the Greenhouse facility and ensure safe working conditions Lead cross-departmental collaboration for seamless operations Travel to trade shows and events as required Other job duties as assigned Competencies for Success: Customer Service & Retention: Demonstrate concern for satisfying external and/or internal customers. Minimum Qualifications: Recommended: Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Business Management, or equivalent experience Required: 5 years of equivalent experience in greenhouse management or related fields, landscaping, garden centers, and nurseries Required: Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with inventory systems Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000
