Position: RN/Registered Nurse - Lead RN - Cardiology Clinic
DaysSchedule: 7:30am - 4:00pm (Monday thru Friday)Location:
University Kansas Health System - St. Francis (Heart & Vascular
Clinic)
Registered Nurses function under the direction of the Nurse
Director/Manager and is responsible for coordination of safe
patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient
populations. -The RN assesses patient/family needs, develops and
prioritizes patient goals, evaluates care delivery, and continually
revised the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional,
psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of
the patient/family. - The RN Delegates care as appropriate to
optimize patient outcomes. - The RN adheres to the Kansas Nurse

Responsibilities
Registered Nurse (RN) -duties include: -The overall direction and
supervision of all patient care during his/her shift.Demonstrates
the knowledge and skill to carry out the nursing process when
providing patient care.Satisfies the established standards of the
nursing practice.Supervises and delegates patient care tasks to
LVN/LPN or CNA and other patient care team members.Promotes
teamwork with physicians and personnel of other
departments.Responsible for overseeing scheduling of clinical staff
and keeping education up to date.Working with as a liaison between
staff and management to ensure best patient care is providedPerform
other duties as assigned -Accountable for self and self-actions: -
- - - -Engages in self-evaluation of practice and takes action to
improve knowledge and skills. - - - - - -Promotes consensus
building and applies techniques of conflict resolution and conduct
improvement. -Retains accountability for quality of care given to
the patient.
Qualifications
Requirements: -Associates/Bachelor degree in Nursing; BSN
preferred.Current Kansas RN licensureBasic Life Support (BLS)
certificationAt least one year recent experience in a similar
healthcare setting, preferred.Basic computer skills.Familiar with
Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and EPIC software;
