HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Kansas City, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Duration: 10 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Number of Beds : 29 · Patient Ratios : 1:4 · Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, and PCTs · Type of equipment : Alaris IV Pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, dinamap in each room, 3 Welch Allen Vital Machines, Wound Vacs, Temporary Pacemakers, Telemetry monitor, EKG Machine, Bladder Scanner, Doppler, Imobile for communication between team members · Documentation system: Meditech · Scheduling requirements: Must work full time hours including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period. · Floating policy: Contract Nurses will be floated to any area where they have demonstrated competency. Must have: Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience. Read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips. Advanced skills needed: Must have experience with post cardiac procedural care (Ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post Op Day 1 Open Heart, permanent Pacemaker placements). Must be able to administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone.
