Enjoy Topeka’s welcoming community, affordable living, and access to parks and cultural attractions while working in a top-rated emergency department./n /n/nCompensation/n /n - Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1660-$1700 per week/n /n/nER RN Job Details – Kansas Healthcare Jobs/n /n - Location: Topeka, KS 66606 (Kansas nursing jobs)/n - Assignment Length: 13-week travel nurse contract/n - Start Date: November 19, 2025/n - End Date: February 18, 2026/n - Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 – 07:15), 3 shifts/week/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Openings: 3 Emergency Room RN positions/n - Unit: Emergency Room (ER), 22 beds/n - Orientation: 36 hours onsite/n - Weekend Requirement: Minimum 2 weekend shifts per contract/n /n/nRegistered Nurse Qualifications/n /n - Active KS or Compact Registered Nurse license (required at submission)/n - At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience/n - Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications/n - Proficiency with Epic EMR charting system/n - Ability to float to similar clinical units as needed/n - Strong clinical skills in emergency nursing, trauma care, cardiac, and behavioral health/n - First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply/n - Must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility (local candidates not accepted)/n /n/nER Nurse Responsibilities/n /n - Deliver direct patient care in a busy Emergency Department for adult and pediatric patients/n - Assess, triage, and manage patients with trauma, cardiac events, stroke, psychiatric emergencies, and medical/surgical conditions/n - Administer medications, perform IV starts, central line care, assist with intubation and chest tube management/n - Respond to rapid response and code situations/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, radiology, social services, pharmacy)/n - Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR system/n - Maintain a safe, supportive, and efficient environment for patients and staff/n - Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and required onsite modules/n /n Apply now to join our healthcare team in Topeka, Kansas, and take the next step in your ER nursing career!
