Pay Information $2,208 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS required, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Previous travel experience preferred Float required Some weekends required Description: Provide care in a medical surgical unit. Caring for stable remote telemetry monitored patients. Experience with patient ratios of 5-6. Manage and administer medications and treatments. Perform assessments and document patient care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Float to like units as needed based on facility demand. Work with patients of varying ages, primarily adults and geriatrics. Care for a variety of illnesses and conditions. Skills in accessing/managing ports and blood product administration. Experience with central line blood draws and chest tube care. Perform colostomy care and management. Ability to use CPAP/BiPAP and high flow nasal cannula. Conduct interpretations of arterial blood gases. Implement isolation precautions as necessary. Care for feeding tubes and manage heparin infusions. Starting and maintaining IVs is essential. Telemetry monitoring experience is required.
