ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Kansas City, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • 2 years of nursing experience required • MS/Tele and PCU experience required • Patient ratios of 5:1 for both days and nights • 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday) • 3 shifts guaranteed per 13-week contract • Regular floating required between departments, units and facilities • Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, Compact License • Epic charting system experience required • Care for patients who have undergone bariatric surgery, urology cases, hepatobiliary procedures, colorectal surgeries, and trauma patients • Experience with isolation precautions and wound care/wound vac required • Work with specialized equipment including epidural pumps, PCA pumps, ketamine drips, lidocaine infusions, and various drainage tubes • Handle patients with CBI, long-term catheters, multiple drains, and wound vacs • Must have compact license or both Kansas and Missouri licenses at submission • Maximum 7 days RTO allowed • Complete Epic training modules, infusion pump training, and glucometer training prior to start date • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) Facility: This healthcare facility is part of a comprehensive health system providing specialized surgical and medical services.
