Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: OR skills Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. The unit consists of 18 operating rooms. Patient ratios are maintained according to protocols. Staffing includes unit secretaries and tech availability. Common types of equipment used include advanced surgical tools. The documentation system in use is Meditech. This position does not require floating to other units. Patient experience is a priority within the operating room. Advanced skills include performing procedures related to hearts, trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology, gynecology, and robotics. This is a level I trauma center. BLS certification is required.
