HCA Healthcare invites applications for the position of Nurse
Extern Student Nurse. This role provides an exceptional opportunity
for nursing students to gain practical experience by working
alongside seasoned professionals in a real-world healthcare
setting. As an extern at HCA Healthcare, you'll be expected to
apply your theoretical knowledge to support patient care under the
supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare team members.
You'll assist in various clinical tasks, participate in patient
assessments, and contribute to the development of care plans. This
role is a crucial stepping stone in your nursing career, offering
insights and exposure to a wide range of medical contexts within
HCA Healthcare's extensive network of facilities. Assist in the
implementation of nursing care plans. Perform basic nursing
procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse, such as
measuring vital signs, administering medication, and documenting
patient care activities. Participate in patient assessments and the
collection of data for clinical use. Support the healthcare team in
delivering high-quality patient-centered care. Maintain patient
safety and confidentiality at all times. Participate in educational
workshops to enhance skills and knowledge. Basic understanding of
clinical practices and protocols. Strong communication and
interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team. High
level of professionalism and ethical practice. Capability to manage
time effectively and handle the pressure of a fast-paced

or must be obtained within a specified period after commencement of
the role. Active status as a nursing student in good standing
within their educational institution.
