Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work in a 30-bed acute medical surgical unit with emphasis on rehabilitation services • Maintain 1:6 patient ratio on all shifts • Minimum 1 year of experience required, first-timers accepted • Required certification: BLS • Must work minimum 8 weekend shifts per 6-week period • Holiday coverage required if holiday falls on scheduled days • Regular floating may be required between departments, units and facilities as needed • Must have Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license • Maximum 7 days request time off allowed • Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract • 12 hours of orientation provided • Scrub color requirement: Navy blue for RNs • Epic charting system experience required • Extensive skill requirements including acute rehab, telemetry monitoring, blood glucose monitoring, insulin protocols, central line care, IV management, wound care, and infection prevention • Must complete pre-start Epic training modules and infusion pump/glucometer training • Local candidates not accepted (must live more than 75 miles from facility) • Two professional references required from past year Facility: This healthcare facility operates a specialized 30-bed acute medical surgical unit focused on rehabilitation services.
