Description About the Opportunity: The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) supports healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative duties in a medical setting. This role ensures efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient care in accordance with medical and ethical standards. Key Responsibilities: Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and instruments according to infection-control and sterilization standards. Obtain and document patient medical history, vital signs, and chief complaints. Assist providers with examinations. Perform routine clinical tasks such as: Administering medications (per state regulations) Conducting EKGs Performing phlebotomy and specimen collection Conducting point-of-care testing Administer vaccines, injections, and basic wound care. Document all patient interactions accurately. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality at all times. manage patient flow. Maintain accurate medical records and prepare documentation for provider review. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical Assistant certification (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA) from an accredited program. CPR/BLS certification. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures. Preferred 1 years of experience in a medical office or clinic setting. Experience with phlebotomy and injections. Working Conditions: Exams and procedures may take place at local offices, mobile clinics, armories or other designated military facilities.
