HR Coordinator $40 - $58K Topeka, KS Interviewing over the next two weeks Bell & Associates has been engaged to help our client find their next Human Resources Coordinator. -The HR Coordinator will assist the HR Manager with complex and specialized administrative tasks to effectively maintain an efficient and compliant human resource department. HR functions will include: onboarding and offboarding processes, employee benefits administration, scheduling training, record process management and record, quarterly and annual Perfect Attendance award administration. - Responsibilities Assists with employee complaints and investigations Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy Maintains open jobs report; manages internal job postings and external agency associate openings. Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers Conducts or assists with audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to HR Manager Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices Recruiting as needed on salary positions Primary support for temporary staffing vendor management Coordinate new hire orientation classes and act as primary contact for supporting temporary staffing agencies. Identify and coordinate resolution of issues on staffing support with HR Manager. Validate staffing agency invoices and route for payment through A/P Administrative support for benefits maintenance with employees. Supports HR benefits administration efforts. Coordinate benefits enrollment and benefits changes for employees. Primary support of Open Enrollment efforts. Coordinate resolution of issues in weekly reports and approve invoices from benefits vendors. Other support duties as needed in relation to general HR function. Member of Employee Safety Committee. Participate in the Safety Incentive Programs. Assist Safety Manager with safety program support as needed. Maintenance of employee files, benefits administration, Onboarding & Offboarding processes and training management are all highly important functions. Requirements Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field. Minimum one-year HR Assistant or relative HR Internship or applicable general administrative experience SHRM-CP credential preferred. Proficient use of Microsoft Office Products required. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately required. Ability to accurately input and validate information into HRIS and other systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Experienced communicator, with great soft-skills in working independently and as a team.
