Principal Movement and Maneuver Trainer to join our growing team of
diverse professionals at Fort Riley, Kansas Mission Training
Complex.Responsibilities:
- Plans, coordinates, prepares, and conducts battle staff
exercises (STAFFEX), Military Decision Making Process (MDMP)
workshops, command post exercises (CPXs), staff / Tactical Command
Post proficiency training, Senior Officer & Warfighter seminars,
and other supporting events at the battalion, brigade, and division
level
- Develops home station training support packages and supporting
scenarios relevant to the operating environment of the training
unit, which focuses on the art and science of mission command
- Provides over-the-shoulder and observer/coach/trainer support
to the training unit, battalion through division level, from the
initial planning conference through the final After Action Reviews
(AAR)
- Upon completion of unit training, supports the creation of an
AAR to enhance and improve the capabilities of the training
unit
- Trains individuals on the Military Decision Making Process and
command post functions and operations
- Conducts IPRs to schedule and tailor unit training and forecast
requirements for upcoming progressive events
- Demonstrates a thorough understating of training management and
operational concepts that support U.S. Army OperationsBasic
Qualifications:
- One of the following:
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of
professional leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of professional
leadership experience
- Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years of professional
leadership experience
- Mission Command and Movement & Maneuver experience at the
battalion and brigade level
- Thoroughly understands the Army's Mission Command Information
Systems (MCIS) and their inter-dependencies with other Warfighting
Function (WfF) systems
- Must have or be able to obtain an active U.S. Department of
Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
- Must be able to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)
- Must be able to work on-site at Fort Riley in Kansas
- Experience in operations and training requirements at the
battalion and brigade levelPreferred qualifications:
- Served as an instructor at the Maneuver or the Mission Command
Center of Excellence
- Previously served as a battalion or brigade commander and
attended the Senior Service College
- Active Top Secret SCI security clearance
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to correspond
and communicate with senior military leaders Salary Range: $62,300
USD - $93,500 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary
bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to
reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share
in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director
positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition,
