American Central Transport (ACT) is seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL A Truck Driver to join our premier freight transportation team. Operating out of the Midwest, this role is crucial for maintaining the excellence and efficiency of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring that customer service and timely delivery are always prioritized. With a focus on long-haul and regional driving, you will manage routes, maintain vehicle upkeep, and comply with all federal and state regulations, while being part of a company that values professionalism, safety, and top-quality fleet maintenance. Safely transport goods over long-haul and regional routes while adhering to all traffic laws. Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair statuses, following applicable federal and state regulations. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance as needed. Plan routes effectively to maximize productivity and minimize costs. Provide excellent customer service, resolving any issues that may arise during the transport process. Excellent driving skills Strong time management and route planning abilities Proficiency in using GPS and other routing systems Effective communication and customer service skills Ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A) Clean driving record Current DOT physical examination card
