Title: Data Recorder, Special Education
Reports To: Director of Special Education
Position Purpose: To ensure timely and accurate IEP data.
Graduation from high school or equivalency. Post high school
training in operation of computers, office software and peripheral
equipment preferred. Three years experience in a position requiring
demonstration of strong office technology skills.
Knowledgeable in computer operation and standard office software
Knowledge of data integration procedures and applications.
Ability to work as part of a team in gathering data for student
Ability to develop effective and professional working
Skilled in completing work with a high level of accuracy; strong
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to work independent of direct supervision.
Physical/Emotional Requirements: (The incumbent may be required
to use the below requirements during any part of the working
Moving throughout the work location, lifting 10-20 lbs.,
hand/finger dexterity, eye/hand coordination; above average time
pressure, intensity and analytical thinking due to multiple,
unrelated demands on time and attention; verbal & written
communication. Ability to spend extended periods of time seated and
working at a computer. Ability to stand and walk at will.
Receive and respond to telephone calls and emails regarding IEP
processes and procedures.
Review incoming IEP's for compliance with district and State
Enter information into WebIEP system (date of evaluation,
exceptionalities, consent dates, etc).
Work with HS Department chairs to facilitate the student
Work with members of the IEP team to identify and correct
systemic concerns with preparation of IEP's. Assist with developing
streamlines and user-friendly IEP processes.
Assist others with questions about access to Web IEP.
Assist in the preparation of bi-annual reports.
Use data verification process to identify communication
Work with the Demographic department to update and correct data
Generate requested reports.
Verify student status by reviewing information contained in SIS,
KIDS and by contacting schools for information.
Provide information to Targeted Assistance Liaison to identify
teachers needing assistance/support.
Assist consulting teachers in the preparation of an IEP
Serve as contact for Netchemia regarding IEP program questions
Terms of Employment:
10.5 months; salary and work year to be determined by the Board

with provisions of the board policy on evaluation of Classified
