Function Verint's Data Scientist builds cutting-edge models for
solving critical business problems; mines insights from large
amount of data and facilitates the entire data science lifecycle
from ideation, data exploration, model building, results
communication to productization. Principal Duties and Essential
Responsibilities + Develop solutions to problems using advanced
data analysis, predictive modeling, optimization, and machine
learning techniques including pattern detection, time series
forecasting, natural language processing + Perform data exploration
and apply machine learning to define scoring, regressor and
classifier models + Apply appropriate sampling methods and machine
learning techniques to hypothesis testing and parameter estimation
+ Design and run end-to-end experiments with statistical rigor for
test and learn + Assist in the design and implementation of
predictive applications in building the AI and machine learning
stack from design to production + Work with big data engineers to
performance tune and scale the Big Data and AI/ML platform + Create
a test case plan, quality processes and requirements for newly
implemented components Minimum Requirements + Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science, Applied Math, Statistics, Operations Research or
quantitative field + 3 years experience and advanced proficiency in
using statistical programming languages such as R and Python -
NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn libraries + 3 years experience in
machine learning algorithms, such as SVM, regression, boosting,
clustering, classifiers, etc. + Knowledge of deep learning,
recurrent neural networks, multilayer perceptrons + Experience
building and training NLP models, Sentiment Analysis, Anomaly
Detection + Knowledge and familiarity of time series analysis
applied to forecasting + Expertise in TensorFlow and PyTorch +
Experience with NLTK, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Keras, Flask +
Experience with developing RESTful APIs and consuming web services
+ Successful completion of a background screening process
including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal
search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug
screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and
local regulations Preferred Requirements + Experience with
Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Druid + Experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD
pipeline, Docker containers + Experience with big data technologies
such as Kafka/Spark SQL/MLib + Experience working with cloud
technologies and experience building scalable ML services in the
