  Job DescriptionThe Accompanist will provide musical accompaniment for choral classes and performances, as well as act as a support to the choral program and students.SALARY:$15.00/hourTERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 7 hours/day, 9 months/year (benefits-eligible)REPORTS TO: Supervising Teacher
  Qualifications
  
• High school diploma required, college work in the fieldof music preferred.
• Professional experience as piano accompanist preferred.
• Must possess strong sight reading skills.
• Must be skilled and technically proficient on piano.
• Ability to read "open score" for up to 8 independent parts.
• Must possess the skill to effectively play and/or improvise in a variety of musical genres including classical, popular, jazz and folk music.
• Must be able to transpose simple two and three part lines.
• Demonstrated excellent aural skills
• Must exhibit a pleasant personality and positive attitude toward working with students, faculty and administration.
• Ability to effectively communicate and establish relationships with students, staff, and community.
• Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as are determined to be appropriate and acceptable.
