Job Description:

Location: Emporia, KS Contract Duration: August 16, 2023, to May 21, 2024 Job Type: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week) Grade Levels: K-12th grade Work Environment: On-site only Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive social work services to students in K-12th grade.
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students' emotional, behavioral, and social needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement intervention strategies for students experiencing academic or behavioral difficulties.
• Assess students' social and emotional functioning through observations, interviews, and assessments.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs. Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in social work from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a social worker.
  • Experience working as a social worker in an educational setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of child development, behavioral interventions, and counseling techniques.
  • Familiarity with special education laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and community partners.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
