Job Description:
A company is looking for an Outpatient/Provider Coder Level
2.
Key Responsibilities:
Review charges and report on missing, incomplete, or inconsistent
documentation
Abstract and code multiple/subspecialty services and assign
appropriate coding classification
Research and resolve high volume accounts and complex, suspended
claims
Required Qualifications:
Nationally recognized coding certification such as CPC, CCS, RHIA,
or equivalent coding experience
Additional 2 years of coding, clinical, or billing experience
Basic knowledge of clinical documentation requirements, health
insurance processing, and computer software proficiency
Incumbents without certification must obtain AHIMA or AAPC
certification within 6 months of hire
No responsibility for providing care to patients
