It is an hourly, technical position with expectation of developing basic project engineering skills to allow future advancement to a plant engineering project lead or operations role.Manage organization and maintenance of all plant documentation and drawings (property, facility, equipment, structural, controls and electrical, process tooling, etc)Assist project engineering team with equipment layouts and dimensional verificationCoordinate the technical resources (equipment, contract labor and plant labor) to achieve project schedulesAssist in procurement of equipment, materials and labor within established project budgetsProvide assistance and support for plant tests in manufacturing and packaging areasOther duties and tasks as assignedREQUIREMENTS:College Degree, Technical Knowledge of plant process systems and process flowsKnowledge of plant equipment function, operation and maintenanceActive participation in continuous improvement teams (reliability, yield, costs, etc)DESIRED:Bachelor of Science, Mechanical EngineeringPrior employment, internship and/or co-op in manufacturing facilityPrior experience in pet food processing and packagingKnowledge Skills & Abilities: Required: People and teamworkPositive attitude and commitmentInitiative and motivationGood Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety ProgramsUnderstanding of Safety, Food Safety and Quality policies and requirementsMicrosoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Desired: Leadership and decision makingResults orientedKnowledge of purchasing proceduresAbility to work with vendors and contractors independentlyAutoCAD, Microsoft Project
