You will help implement People strategies that accelerate capability in Cisco's business and our employees by planning for and facilitating the successful integration of acquired employees into Cisco - with a focus on compensation modeling & evaluation, as well as data analysis and story-telling - to transform Cisco's talent, leadership, culture, and organization.

Who You'll Work With:

Come join People & Communities in Mergers & Acquisitions and partner with Cisco's cross-functional M&A teams to help Cisco grow by bringing in new talent & technology! You will have an opportunity to work within a team of M&A experts who have a passion for helping make acquired teams successful. After ramping up, our expectation is you will be our primary point of contact for Corporate Development Finance as we work together to estimate the employee cost of acquiring a particular company. This role is critical to help Corp Dev Finance develop the case as a key part of Cisco's determination of whether we will move forward with a transaction. You'll work with Compensation experts who have deep knowledge and experience in aligning compensation for incoming employees as well as the very experienced Corporate Development Finance team whose focus is ensuring the financial case accurately reflects the costs that will result from a transaction.

Every quarter, we analyze and report on the attrition experienced within recent Acquisitions. In this role, you'll partner with the Global P&C M&A practice leader to present data and help tell the attrition story. You'll also be our primary liaison to the People & Communities People, Research & Intelligence team to help ensure our analysis methods are sound and efficient as well as to conduct ad hoc analyses jointly between our teams.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Take great pride in work
  • Some experience in Compensation with this as your primary interest for further development
  • Solid analytical skills and an interest in further development
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality for extended periods of time
  • Happy to stay in sync with guidelines provided by Cisco and the acquisition process
  • Flexibility to meet virtually with partners across the world and global time zones
  • Excellent and ever-developing ability to connect with people in both 2D (virtual) and 3D (in person) communications
  • Get a kick out of finding new ways to use MS Excel and learning how to tell a story using data and solid PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to travel, including internationally, on a very limited basis
  • 5+ years of related professional experience, preferably with technology-based companies

    • Experience working in a medium to large, matrixed organization
    • Cisco experience
