Job Description:

Reports To: Transportation Manager

Position Purpose:

To assist the Transportation Manager and staff with the usual office routines and practices.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED
* Ability to operate office machines
* Excellent written language skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to respect confidences
* Ability to handle pressure/stress and ambiguity

Physical/Emotional Requirements: The incumbent may be required to use the following skills and abilities during any part of the working day.

Moving throughout the work location, lifting 10-20 lbs., hand/finger dexterity, eye/hand coordination; above average time pressure, intensity and analytical thinking due to multiple, unrelated demands on time and attention; verbal & written communication.

Performance Responsibilities:

* Performs general secretarial duties
* Places and receives telephone calls
* Orders and maintains supplies
* Helps to coordinate meetings
* Other duties as requested by the Transportation Manager and Business Manager

Terms of Employment:

Salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.

Evaluation:

Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the board policy on evaluation of clerical staff.
