Role

Provides reporting and analysis for the Asset and Liability committee regarding the Bank's investment and borrowings portfolios, liquidity management, and interest rate risk management. Utilizes various data sources, including the Bank's interest rate risk model, to create the reports and analysis. Monitors and projects the current and short-term liquidity of the Bank.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepares and reviews reports for ALCO and the Board of Directors.
  • Maintains and operates the Bank interest rate risk model.
  • Utilizes financial spreadsheets to analyze various aspects of the Bank.
  • Facilitates and reviews the daily liquidity reporting and journal entries.
  • Assists in the administration of the Bank's public unit deposit program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
    Requirements

    • A minimum of one to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
    • A college degree with a focus in Finance or Accounting.
    • Knowledge of accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America, basic characteristics of financial assets and liabilities, and basic statistical analysis.Ability to work standard personal computers (including peripheral equipment), ten-key calculator, typing 30-40 words per minute, view a computer terminal for varying periods of time, and to learn and retain the proper use of office equipment, including facsimile machines and photocopies. Must be able to work with various PC software; specifically Microsoft Excel, including the ability to utilize complex formula, pivot tables, and spreadsheet links.
    • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others both inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information, as well as updating or referring, which typically require short discussions.
