Job Position: Shipping/ReceivingLocation: TOPEKA, KS 66609Pay Rate: $17.00/hrShift: 1stDescription:Duties: -Responsible to make arrangements for pick-up by the carrier, following shipping instructions on the order.-Responsible for securely boxing product, to guarantee undamaged arrival and superior presentation of product to client.-Report any defective materials or questionable conditions.-Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials in inventory in order to meet shipping demands.-Required to maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. Qualifications Education and/or Experience -High School Diploma or GED. -At least one year related experience working in a material handling position, preferably with specific shipping/distribution experience. Job Related Skills -The Shipping Clerk must have math skills and the ability perform basic math calculations.-Must be very detail oriented and very customer focused.-Basic computer skills, with special emphasis in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.-Experience working with UPS, FedEX and other carriers.-Experience with international shipping including Canada. Physical Requirements -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
