Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: Sales Support / Inside Sales /
Customer ServiceMANUFACTURING BACKGROUND A MUSTProvides overall
support to the Division Managers, Sales Operations & Analytics
Manager, Director of Sales and Marketing, and other Customer
Account Specialists as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Primary
accountability for specific functions and results)1. Serves as a
positive role model consistent with Company's corporate culture at
all times.2. Internal/external liaison for communication between
customers, sales, sales representatives, procurement, manufacturing
plants, and management in a timely and professional manner.3.
Responsible for customer order verification, entry, confirmation,
tracking, changes and expediting as necessary.4. Responsible for
ensuring existing customer base is profitable through the following
activities:· Review inventory reports for slow moving products and
report findings to Division managers.· Managing raw material price
increases and Minimum Order Quantities.· Process and help
facilitate Engineering Change Notices with support from Division
Managers.· Manage customer relationship to ensure a positive
experience.· Work with Project Engineers and Division Managers as
needed for product update/changes and any new products for the
customers under the CAS's responsibility.· Cross training with
other Divisions and departments in order to learn more about Polo's
overall business5. Run Customer Aging Order Report then review
findings with Sales Operations & Analytics Manager and appropriate
Division Manager.6. Provides reliable back up for other Customer
Account Specialist, managers and other department associates as
needed.7. Produces and maintains electronic/paper company and
customer documents and files.8. Processes customer requests, such
as complaints, returns, quotations, and samples.9. Answers incoming
calls and directs to appropriate person, including inquiry calls
from prospective customers.10. Travels to manufacturing facilities
and some customer sites on a limited basis. ADDITIONAL
RESPONSIBILITIES (Not essential & could be performed by others, if
necessary)1. Identify and focus on key customers, including bigger
accounts that may need unique attention. Work towards achieving,
maintaining and exploring ways to improve current processes to
better serve our customers.2. Assists in managing all aspects of
routine and new accounts as assigned.3. Customer Account
Specialists may assist in booking travel and arranging itinerary
for managers4. Other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTSTo
perform at a proficient level and to be fully qualified, a person
would be expected to have:Education:(minimum required)Associate's
degree/2 years of college required. Bachelor's degree
preferred.Experience:(minimum required)1-2 years in a customer
service role (business-to-business sales environment
preferred).
